Frequently asked questions
How long is the shelf life?
From the time you receive your crumpets, they’re best enjoyed fresh within 3 days. Please store them in the fridge to maintain freshness. They may firm up slightly when chilled, but they’ll toast up perfectly. Crumpets can also be frozen for up to 3 months. Simply defrost thoroughly before toasting to avoid a chilly middle.
Do you do gluten-free crumpets?
Unfortunately not at the moment. Our crumpets do contain gluten. We’d absolutely love to offer a gluten-free option in the future, but we haven’t quite perfected the recipe just yet. Any tips or magic suggestions are always welcome 🙂
Can you ship abroad?
At the moment, we can only ship within the UK due to the short shelf life of our crumpets. If you live abroad, feel free to get in touch - we’re always happy to share recommendations for great crumpet makers around the world.
Are there any allergens I should be aware of?
Allergy information can be found in each product description - please read this carefully if you have any food allergies. All of our crumpets are made in our home kitchen, so while we take care to minimise cross-contamination, there may be traces of allergens such as nuts, eggs, soy, and others. If you have any concerns at all, please get in touch before ordering at rebecca@crumpandgrind.co.uk
